But chocolates are not only for your taste buds. Lately, people have been raving about it because it also soothes their noses. How is that possible? Keep reading and find out more about the latest craze.

About chocolate party drugs: A brand, Coco Loko, has launched and introduced a different way of enjoying your chocolates. It is in the form of a snuff that can melt in your nose, literally.


But you don’t have to break off your chocolate bar and then shove it in your nostril to experience it. The company has introduced a rather brown powder that users can snort in order to get a buzz.


According to the website, the legal highs are even used by sportsmen that want to get that competitive edge and gain that calm focus. They also claim that the item can help users reduce their stress and anxiety.

According to Legal Lean, the Orlando-based company that makes the powder even claims that the herbal incense will help users rest, work or play. However, they could not be reached to comment on it.

The Food and Drug Administration, on the other hand, has yet to announce if it is going to control the manufacture, distribution, selling and consumption of the legal highs next day delivery.


According to Peter Cassell, a spokesperson for the FDA, the agency is yet to issue any determination about whether and what ways that the chocolate legal highs will be subject to their jurisdiction at the moment.

He added that in order to come up with a decision, they’d need to evaluate the labeling, marketing info and other info pertaining to the intended use of it. Finally, he said that the agency wasn’t aware, at the moment, of any illnesses or consumer complaints of the item.


An EENT doctor, Dr. Steven Gold, said that he does not know if snorting this food is safe or not. In addition, he says that both illegal and legal drugs are snorted because this route of administration leads to a faster absorption through the nose’s blood vessels. It is because also that the nose’s lining is composed of mucus membrane that is moist. However, he couldn’t confirm the effects on chocolate when used that way. The doctor also said that people eat chocolate without damaging their mouths. But without studying it, no one would know what the effect would be. Finally, he said that he prefers eating chocolate for now.


In an article, Dominique Persoone, a Belgian chocolatier is snorting cocoa powder off a chocolate shooter in his Bruges factory. The food is delicious and sweet, providing an energy boost, not mentioning it is legal. That is why it is becoming one of the most popular party drugs in Europe and the US. Now, the raw cocoa is being consume as party pills, drink or can be snorted, too.
