Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve no doubt heard the hype revolving around CBD, aka Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is a compound found in cannabis plants similar to THC, however it comes with none of the head change while maintaining many of the medical benefits. Here at Express Highs we carry a full array of products including CBD in them for you to enjoy. If you’re looking to buy CBD flower, hash or pollen online you’re in the correct spot.
CBD is the second most common chemical found in the Cannabis sativa plant, right after tetrahydrocannabinol, aka THC. CBD was discovered back in 1940 by American chemist Roger Adams and his team at the University of Illinois, but it wasn't isolated until 1964. Even so, CBD only started becoming popular around 2016. The reason behind the popularity was that studies highlighting the potential therapeutic benefits of CBD for various conditions, such as epilepsy, anxiety, and chronic pain, helped boost its profile. For example, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, an Israeli chemist, is often referred to as the "father of cannabis research" due to his pioneering work on cannabinoids, including CBD.
Today, celebrities and public figures endorse CBD products, playing a significant role in bringing CBD into the mainstream. For instance, high-profile endorsements from athletes and wellness influencers helped raise awareness about the benefits of the compound. This has helped destigmatize the plant as a whole and has been incredibly beneficial to the burgeoning bud industry.
All of this has helped CBD shake off regulatory shackles. In the European Union, CBD derived from industrial hemp with less than 0.2% THC is generally legal. However, each member state can have its own regulations and restrictions. While CBD may be legal in many European countries, it's incredibly important to check in with the specific regulations regarding shipping and delivery of hemp products to your door to ensure compliance with local laws. Some countries have stricter import regulations than others. But don’t worry, if you’re a little confused about the rules, we’ve got your back and can help you figure out regulations for things in your country. For instance, here is a nice explanation of how Brexit affects some customers.
Forms of CBD:
Listen, we’ve got the hookup. Whether you’re looking for Cannatonic flower or a classic hash like Charas, you’re covered. Due to CBD’s popularity and evolving use as a legitimized medicine, the ways customers can consume has increased over the past few years exponentially. Today you can get flower, hash, pollen, edibles, topicals, patches, vape cartridges, drinks, dog treats and much more. What is so amazing about this fact is that now consumers can choose their favorite method of intake for their CBD and reliably source it from a trusted vendor like us.
If you’re interested to see the flower we carry at Express Highs (and you should be!) check out the store here. Flower is the most basic form in which customers can get their CBD. Just like regular weed, CBD buds are grown with love and care. The plant does not lie, so bad weed always looks bad. Good weed always looks good. It’s one of the easiest ways to be able to tell the true quality because you are buying the source material that all other CBD products are made from. Flower can be used in edibles, vaped, smoked and more.
Hash is the concentration of active compounds such as CBD and often the terpenes associated with the flower. This is created through many methods, some mechanical and other chemical. Check out the hash store here for Express Highs selection of high quality concentrated hemp products that can ship to you. Some folks still use outdated words such as “Pollen,” but really what we’re talking about is resin. The resins of the plant are concentrated as they are the only active component. Consuming the plant material doesn’t do anything for consumers.
Chances are the casual consumer will never, ever actually see cannabis “pollen.” Pollen is from male plants which are only used for breeding. The word “Sinsemilia” which was once slang for “Good weed” actually means, “Without seed,” (sin simelia), in spanish. That’s because to get the best product from any hemp plant the grower must cull the males, leaving only females. If this is not done expeditiously, the males will release true pollen and fill the entire grows’ harvest with undesirable seeds that pop when you smoke them. In truth we are very lucky that cannabis plants are dioecious (having two distinct genders that rarely present on the same plant except in the case of bad breeding or stress) instead of monoecious (most plants are monoecious, meaning they have both genders on each flower and self pollinate) because if it was not, we would really only have seeded weed, which is weaker and less desirable.
That’s why I say, you should never, ever experience cannabis pollen unless you are specifically breeding and doing a seed run. Either way, due to outdated regulations, the word has been used for decades to more or less say, “Hash,” especially in Europe. In the United States and Canada the word has been replaced with kief, wax, hash, wax, dabs, shatter, etc. It has become more common to describe the consistency instead of using a blanket term for the product. It is likely used because kief (the broken off trichome heads collected) look like pollen to the laymen. In fact, very good kief is often yellow even. There are also products such as Moonrocks that you’ll find in the CBD shop that are a mix of flower and concentrate. For the adventurous these can be a fun little treat.
BE WISE:
Reputable sources make sure their CBD products are high quality and free from contaminants like pesticides, heavy metals, and solvents. This guarantees you get a pure and safe product. Buying from a trusted source also reduces the risk of ending up with counterfeit or adulterated products that could be harmful. Trusted suppliers follow strict manufacturing standards and safety protocols. High-quality, trusted products are more likely to be effective. Properly sourced and processed CBD is simply better than something you might find at a corner store next door to a kebab shop in a small town in the UK that advertises it has “American Candy,” AKA shipments from California of cannabis that failed testing back in the states and is illegal for sale domestically so it is exported under the table. Sound sketchy? That’s because it is.
